Central House Movers Staff are motivated professionals with over 120 years combined experience in the building removal industry.

Founded by Mike O’Byrne in 1991, with his step sons Aaron and Matt becoming co-owners in 2005. All three owners remain active in the everyday running of the business.

Every team member is proud of their professionalism and quality of the workmanship delivered.

Knowing you are dealing with the team that has a huge depth of experience is a service that not all competing company’s can offer.

Key staff are also Licensed Building Practitioners (LBP) in both Foundations and Design.

Mike O'Bryne

Director and Foreman

Mike is the co-founder of CHM back in 1991, he was born and raised in a Taranaki farming family. Machinery has always been Mikes passion, and most weekends you will find him working on one of his many diggers around the countryside. Mike’s house moving and earthworks knowledge is next to none.

Mike works closely with our clients from the initial site visit, through to it’s completion.

Aaron Booker

Director and Foreman

Aaron has been involved with CHM since he was 10 years old and became a co-owner at age of 28. He was born and raised in Taranaki and relocated to the Manawatu in 2000. Aaron is still very hands on in the everyday operations, he is one of the main foreman onsite and has been towing buildings around the North Island for the last 22 years.

Matt Nairn

Director and Foreman

Matt is the younger brother of Aaron and been involved with CHM since a young age and also become a co-owner in 2005.

Matt also relocated to the Manawatu in the year 2000, and is now raising his own children here with his wife Jen.

Matt is one of our other Main Foreman and Truck Driver. Matt has a real passion for modern Technology and is very involved.
